Morning Metabolism Booster

I am not the biggest coffee drinker (Mike and I don't even own a coffee maker in our home) but when the cold weather hits there is nothing better than a warm cappuccino in hand. However, I try not to use coffee as my way to wake up in the morning since I don't really want my body to become dependent on caffeine. I decided to try a version of the "master cleanse" drink first thing in the morning in order to wake my body up in a healthy natural way, while also boosting my metabolism. If you are also looking for an alternative to coffee for your morning wake up this could be just the right thing for you as well.  Most people have heard of the "lemonade cleanse" which basically consists of drinking maple syrup, lemon juice, water, and cayenne pepper for a week straight. While I think that this kind of cleanse is both dangerous and only effective in depleting your body of necessary nutrients when carried out for extensive periods of time, the idea behind the cleanse is great when you apply it to your morning wake-up call.

Benefits of Ingredients in the Morning Metabolism Booster

Apple Cider Vinegar: This is amazing for good skin and hair health and since I started using it daily I have noticed a significant change in my skin and less breakouts overall. It also has been known to manage blood pressure and aid in weight loss.

Cayenne Pepper: This spice is a mega metabolism booster and aids in proper circulation.

Lemon Juice: Lemons have strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and help with weight management by acting as a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemon water is also great for people who suffer from acid reflux since lemons can actually help neutralize the acid in your stomach and help calm acid reflux.
