Today is one of my favorite days of the year! The official start of the Christmas season in my opinion when the advent calendars get brought out, Christmas decorations are up, and 25 days of Christmas is playing on Freeform. Not to mention my all time favorite HORRIBLE lifetime Christmas movies that make wrapping presents, baking cookies, and writing Christmas cards all the more enjoyable.
For your convenience here is a schedule of Christmas Movies playing over the next month:
In the upcoming weeks I am going to have a bunch of holiday gift guides coming your way, with the first one coming tomorrow, but for now I wanted to share with you one of my favorite healthy desserts that I have been absolutely loving lately!
Now I know that chia pudding is not necessarily a new concept in the healthy living community, however somehow the idea of a layered chia parfait like dessert makes it all the more appetizing to me. While this dessert does take a little time to prepare (you should like the chia pudding sit overnight), the actual time it takes to prep everything takes under 5 minutes.
What I love most about this layered chia pudding is that it is loaded with protein, heart healthy fats, lots of fiber, and has absolutely no added sugar. All the sweetness for this dessert comes from whole fruits, and balances out incredibly when combined with the chocolate protein pudding, and fiber from the chia seeds themselves.
Honestly, I dare you to try this dessert and not love every single bite. Trust me this will not be your leave a few bites behind kind of dessert, but more the "should I get a spatula to get every morsel" kind of dessert. But please, go right ahead and eat it all up because it is so good for you, and I can guarantee will make you feel satisfied as if you have indulged on something much less wholesome.
