affordable travel booking resources

  • Secret Flying: Secret flying is a website I would say I check almost daily. There are so many affordable hotel/flying deals being added daily, and if you are okay with booking vacations within certain date ranges this site has the potential to save you a whole lot of money.
  • AirFareWatchDog: Great search tool for finding affordable flights. You are able to set fare watches that can be sent right to your email, and even search flights with no destination city in mind to see what the most affordable options are.
  • Skyscanner: This is my go to airline booking site after I have checked out secret flying for any phenomenal deals. It allows you to search many airlines all from their one user friendly platform, as well as see prices around your date of interest, and schedule price alerts for the future.
  • Kayak: After checking skyscanner I will usually then go over to kayak to see if there are any deals that I could have missed. They also have a great price alert feature that makes monitoring flight prices so much easier.
  • Airbnb: When you choose to stay in Airbnb homes you are by nature choosing to have a very authentic experience. Most of the time Airbnb's provide you with local interaction, as well as a more lived in experience to travel. But don't expect hotel like service. Think of this more as house sitting, but for travel.
  • Agoda: This is by far one of my favorite hotel booking services, and most of the time I feel as though I am able to find exactly what I am looking for, at affordable prices when compared to hotel websites.
